NOTE: "OLD STYLE" vs "NEW STYLE". Allsteel manufactures two models of lateral cabinets. The oldest style is called the "Persona" model. It uses a heavier gauge of steel then the new model called "Essentials", which was introduced on 10/28/2001. The shape of the punched hole or "slot" in the drawer wall will indicate if your model is "Old Style" Persona or "New Style" Essentials. The identification chart below illustrates & compares the shape of each slot. Our file bars for HON file cabinets (series HN55XX) are compatible with the "New Style" Essentials cabinets.
